In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden cult.

The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an unique katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
