Jurgen Klopp states coming back to manage Liverpool is theoretically possible.

The German coach, who left Liverpool in 2024, remarked that returning someday is something that could happen. The 58-year-old, following a hugely successful near-decade reign which brought a European Cup triumph and ending the club's long wait in 30 years, now holds roles overseeing worldwide football for Red Bull and providing guidance for the DFL.

Supporters’ Hopes and His Frank Comments

The club claimed the league title under Arne Slot, though countless followers who revere Klopp would embrace the idea that he may eventually return. In a wide-ranging interview, he told his interviewer: “I said I refuse to lead any other side within the country. Therefore if then it’s Liverpool...yes. It's plausible.”

“At 58 years old, which suggests I might decide down the line, who knows. Is a decision required immediately? In that case, I'd stay away. But thank God, I don’t have to do that. I'll wait and observe what the future brings.”

What Would Lure Him Back?

Pressed on which situations would have to unfold to bring him back to management, Klopp admitted he was not instantly drawn toward coming back. “I'm not entirely sure, I love what I do right now,” he stated. “I don't crave being a coach; No desire to be under bad weather through long matches; I don’t miss going to interviews four times, three times a week or constant media duties each week.

“No nostalgia for the changing area per se, however, dining out with the players talking freely, I appreciate that. With many victories so there was often positive atmosphere at the club. Remaining with me is the captain's chuckle vividly recalled as an instance.”

Commending Arne Slot

He commended of the current boss, acknowledging his role for the adjustments that took the title last term. The team has suffered four consecutive matches across various tournaments following significant transfers, though he denied the suggestion it could be a decline.

“[Liverpool have] a phenomenal forward in Flo[rian] Wirtz, you will all eat your words if spoken against. A remarkable prospect. Ekitike, incredible player. It’s a really good thoughtfully assembled roster. You don’t have to worry regarding the Reds, they'll bounce back.”

Emotional Tribute for Diogo Jota

He shared movingly on the loss of the Portuguese star, a 2020 acquisition in 2020, and its impact at the club. Jota lost his life in a road accident together with his sibling recently.

“Can you substitute a person like him? It goes beyond his footballing ability, it's his character. It's hard to picture the dressing room missing him. Putting it into words is tough about it. It was an incredible shock for his teammates too. Nobody at Liverpool would cite it to justify results but it is the situation. You walk in a dressing room where his spirit remains. Coping with it individually is difficult. Overwhelming.”
