Netflix Casts Spot-On Performer for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3

The Secret Organization is geared up to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.

Netflix announced this week that the talented performer has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay can use their power to morph into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that figure re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.

The new cast member is joined by multiple fresh additions set to bring Baroque Works to life, featuring chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.

Even though this character is a key figure of Baroque Works, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Given the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could suggest additional alterations to the plot development.

Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the role. Along with their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
