Starmer to Press Allies on Advanced Missile Systems for Ukrainian Forces at London Conference

Sir Keir Starmer plans to press supporting countries to supply Ukrainian forces with additional extended-range weaponry to strike Russian targets during talks in the UK capital on this Friday.

The prime minister is set to welcome Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky alongside what's known as "alliance of supportive nations", including over twenty of Kyiv's partners who have committed to provide the Ukrainian government defense assurances once hostilities pause is negotiated.

Ukraine's president has been appealing for several weeks for more advanced missile technology from the West, a step that the Russian government has cautions would worsen the conflict.

The Ukrainian president is journeying from Brussels, where he conferred with European representatives on the previous day pursuing financial support.

Sir Keir will urge leaders to ramp up the supply of long-range weapons following a productive attack on a manufacturing site in Bryansk, Russia, using British-supplied advanced weaponry.

"And his horrific attacks on innocent children in a preschool recently make that abundantly clear," he added.

Several minors were among a minimum of seven lost in multiple enemy assaults on Ukraine, which targeted a nursery in the important metropolitan area Ukraine's second city.

Budgetary Negotiations

Britain's leader will consult Western allies on methods to withdraw Russia's petroleum resources out of worldwide commerce.
