Devoted fans of the pop star are calling for that a person who leaped a barrier and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or deported from Singapore.
A widely shared footage reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers walked down a promenade flanked by supporters.
Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the premiere by guards.
Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was charged.
This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last year.
"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a legal violation," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.
"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user questioned.
Many followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.
"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further message on Instagram.
A number of attendees also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while some called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.
In clips shared widely, Grande looked startled when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.
Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.
Numerous of supporters had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.
The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the popular stage musical Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely friendship between two very different witches.
The musical itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.
They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.
The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of last year in the UK, and scored 10 Academy Award nods, securing several for best costume and production design.
